Overwatch 2 World Cup 2024 Favorites

Who are the favorites to win the Overwatch 2 event at the Esports World Cup 2024? According to bookmakers Crazy Racoon will enter the fray as the runaway favorites.

The Japan-based South Korean roster won the Overwatch Champions Series Dallas Major 2024 last month. They beat Team Falcons in the Grand Final and took home the lion’s share of the $200,000 prize pool. The victory also earned them an Esports World Cup invite. Crazy Raccoon’s Park “Junbin” Jun-bin bagged the MVP award for his phenomenal Tank display.

Crazy Racoon had won the OWCS Asia Stage 1 2024 in April which got them tickets to Dallas. Bookies, therefore, have assigned the Japanese outfit the shortest odds to conquer Riyadh.

Online  sites are also showing strong faith in local giants Team Falcon. The Saudi Arabian side lost to Team Racoon in the Dallas Major final but the latest odds place them close to the newly crowned Dallas Major champions.

Just a peek at the Falcons roster reveals why they’re one of the top favorites in Riyadh. It’s a star-studded lineup merging Overwatch League veterans with battle-hardened champions. This formidable combination is a force to be reckoned with.

They have brought in former Dallas Fuel duo Han “ChiYo” Hyeon-seok and Kwon “Fielder” Joon who have won the Overwatch League with their former team. Yoo “smurf” Myeong-hwan won the Overwatch League twice with the San Francisco Shock. The Tank specialist also has his former Shock colleague Kim “Proper” Dong-hyun as his current teammate.

ZETA Division who have recently revived their Overwatch 2 roster after a four year hiatus is a distant third in the list of favorites. The Korean outfit has acquired the ex- The Gamer roster which earned impressive podium finishes at both OWCS 2024 Asia Stage 1 and OWCS Stage 1 Korea.

ZETA boasts a roster with firepower and experience. AlphaYi, BERNAR, FiNN, Flora, and Viol2t join forces with the legendary tank player Fearless, a 2022 Overwatch League MVP! Hwang “Belosrea” Gyu-tae now playing Tank for Poker Face is the only former The Gamer player not join ZETA. Regardless ZETA have assembled a squad ready to make waves in Riyadh.

Spacestation Gaming have also been assigned relatively favorable odds to shine in Riyadh. The EMEA side have recently beat ENCE in the EMEA Overwatch FACEIT League Season 1 grand final.
